This morning Summer's Kindergarten class had their graduation. The excitement level about this event was pretty high. The kids rehearsed their songs every day for weeks and I can only imagine what a big deal that was for them. Summer was beaming and very proud of herself. The day before graduation her class had a party at the school. Completed with relay races, cake eating contest, water balloon races and popsicles. It was crowded but really, as a parent there is nothing better than watching your little ones be so excited and happy.
I can't believe my girl is done with Kindergarten. I can't believe the school year has come to an end. It has been such a great year for her. Summer has absolutely loved every minute of being in Mrs. H's class. She is an amazing teacher and I am so thankful that Summer got to be in her class this year. Summer has grown-up so much this year. The graduation program ended with her getting to choose whatever she wanted to do for the rest of the day. She chose Dockside for lunch, the beach for a few hours, Boombalatti's for ice cream and to end it all, Princess and the Frog movie on the back porch with David's popcorn. He makes them the best. It was a really special day for our Summer. My girl is off to first grade!
